REpost from my old account. Taken early March '07
Two more miles and we hit I-70 and it's a straight shot out of Colorado, across Kansas to Missouri... our new home.
This was the last time we saw the mountains. Everyday of my life the mountains have been there watching over me, Pike's Peak was the view from our back deck and it always gave me a sense of security. Now... it's gone, I've been ripped away from it and am now having to accept the painfully flat lands of the Midwest.
Some day, I will return...
